Still juicing at least three times a week. This juice was 2 green apples, half a lemon, a cucumber, kale, parsley, spinach and ginger! (serves two) If you are new to juicing you may want to skip the kale as its packs a little more punch.
I try to do a lot of prep early in the week steaming up veggies and grilling up lean proteins to have on hand throughout the week. This lunch was grilled sirloin with a little garlic, olive oil and sea salt with sautéed red peppers. Super simple, clean and yummy!
My go to easy and healthy lunches... egg whites, spinach, Mediterranean feta cheese, half a cup of brown rice and cottage cheese. In the bottom pic I added turkey and had half an avocado instead.
Healthy stir fry dinner using lean meat, tons of colorful veggies, spaghetti noodles that have omegas and couple tablespoons of Trader Joes Soyaki sauce.
One of my favorite on the go snacks from Tarders...Almonds, cashews and dark chocolate packs. Although I could be guilty of just picking out all the dark chocolate on occasion ;)
Also not pictured was the several slices of Whole Foods Vegan Apple Pie that I had last week! It was so good but I'm glad its finished now and I can get back on bikini track ;)

im always looking for new clean recipes... thanks for the tips!!
ReplyDeleteyour so welcome love xo
DeleteYum! I love the sliced sirloin idea, and will pick some up on my next shopping trip! I just discovered fresh & easy yesterday. Nate and I are doing a 3 day green veggies cleanse, and it's amazing how fresh everything tastes. No more big grocery stores for me!
ReplyDeleteoh good luck with the veggie cleanse let me know how it goes!
DeleteI am loving these ideas...I seriously need to kick it into gear! Thanks for inspiring!! :)
ReplyDeletethanks hun! You already look fab! xo
DeleteLoving these lunch ideas! Are you juicing for all meals three times a week? or just some?
ReplyDeletethanks Melanie no i definitely don't juice in place of meals. I use it as a snack and a quick and easy way to get some added nutrients. xo
DeleteI love posts like these. So inspiring.
ReplyDeletethank you! So glad you like them as well! xo
DeleteThanks for sharing these! Do you have any food guidelines that you try to stick to? For example, eat three meals a day plus two snacks? No eating after 7:00 pm? I'm trying to get bikini ready too, and you're my motivation!
ReplyDeletethanks love...In general I try to stick 5 smaller meals a day. If I'm trying to be really good ill cut out my after dinner sweet snack but I just try to be active so i can have that!
DeleteYum! I have been mixing eggs with everything lately - rice, quinoa, beans...I don't like them alone, but can't get enough of a good scramble! ;) xo
ReplyDeleteits been my go to meal lately! Esp easy for busy mamas ;)
DeleteThank so much for sharing these! I am a junior in college and I've really been trying to cook clean and healthy meals myself at my apartment. I'm always looking on Pinterest for ideas and I think that's how I came across your blog! I also love making a lot of quinoa recipes and just last night I made these yummy quinoa cup frittatas which were so yummy. My roommate who isn't a health nut at all also really liked it. Just recently a Trader Joe's opened up in our area and I basically do almost all my groceries there. I love it! : )
ReplyDeleteI was looking through your older food posts and saw that you eat Ezekiel bread. I was wondering what that was all about? I've been trying to find a right bread to stick to. I saw on Dr. Oz that he said that even whole wheat isn't that great either and to stick to rye or pumpernickel. But I was wondering what ezekiel is! : )
Thank you so much I think you and your family are so beautiful and I love reading your blog! : )

awww thanks Alaisha! The frittata cups sounds so good!
DeleteHey Andee, you should really think about including beetroot in your juicing. It has numerous health effects. I used to stick to all greens when juicing, but recently I started including beetroot, along with other fruits and have noticed an energy boost. Let's just sat, I don't need a coffee in the morning anymore ;) try it out if you haven't already.
ReplyDeleteawesome! thanks for the tip hun!
DeleteI have to try the Trader Joe's mini trail mixes-they have the perfect combo of stuff I love to eat out of the trail mix! These pics remind me that I really need to get a juicer - whenever I have fresh juice it always makes me feel so energized!

DeleteThat juice looks delicious..I use a pretty similar combo in my smoothies I drink every day. I've never used ginger or parsley though..I wonder how it would taste in a smoothie vs juice? I sware drinking 2 smoothies a day helped me lose the baby weight so quickly and has made my skin glow!

DeleteHey Andee,
ReplyDeleteI love your style so much, and seeing what you cook is really inspiring! I have a wedding to prep for, and I was wandering how you measure up portion sizes for each meal? Also do you drink diet sodas at all, I keep using them as fillers but I hear there not so good for me!
xo rudi
Hi Rudi thanks so much. I actually don't drink diet soda at all. I gave it up years ago as it doesnt do anything nutrition wise for me and I would always feel bloated. You're best bet for fillers are water and veggies veggies veggies. They fill you up with out packing tons of calories. For measuring your portions I would literally start with a measuring cup a few times so you can eyeball how much you SHOULD be eating. Then you will get the hang of it without having to measure it out all the time. It def comes in handy when I'm eating out and see my portion I know is WAY to big. Hope this helps xo
DeleteYou're my inspiration to keep clean eating... whenever I am tempted to eat junk/ or think of cheating I re-visit your food posts and tell myself, "see Andee is doing it, put down the peanut butter."
ReplyDeleteLOL!
Awww thanks Lily! Its okay to cheat sometimes...trust me i definitely splurge as well just try to keep it in moderation.
